Rae Baird

Rae has been practising acrobatics since 1987 and teaching since 1997. She trained at Circomedia and went on to teach tumbling and soft acrobatics on their Degree and BTEC programmes for eight years. With a foundation in both traditional gymnastics, circus techniques and contemporary partner acrobatics, Rae specialises in beginner-friendly tumbling — from rolls and cartwheels to strong, safe fundamental movement patterns.

Her teaching style blends auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic methods to meet each student where they are. She focuses on building solid foundations through conditioning, flexibility, and clear, confidence-building progressions, creating an environment where complete beginners feel supported and capable.

A bit more

Join us at Adult Acrobatics At Home for unparalleled acrobatics instruction you won’t find anywhere else. We teach you all the ways you can keep fit, have fun and learn new and exciting skills, even in a small home training space, so put on your dancing shoes (not really, we do barefoot) and sign up for a class with any of our experienced instructors. Each class starts with a warm up

What you get
What you won't get

At our classes you wont be ridiculed, pressurised or made to feel inadequate. We don't believe in making people compete against each other, bullying or overworking people. We don't like putting people in boxes or labels and believe that everyone can be an acrobat if they are willing to learn

What to wear/bring with you

Inclusivity

All classes are open to anyone over the age of 18, regardless of fitness level, mental health, race or gender. This is an LGBTQIA+ affirming space so all are welcome without prejudice, and we expect similar respect from our clients

A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and some clothing you can move freely in. Most people wear shorts/leggings and a t-shirt (it needs to be long enough that you can tuck it in when we go upside down!). Don't forget your water bottle!
